5 Tools We Use As A Virtual Assistant

The internet has literally become our go to in today’s society; without it literally we are NOTHING!

But this has made it so much easier for businesses to expand, with the help of social media and all the available online tools, you can literally create and start a company from the comfort of your home.

As a Virtual Assistant, we are able to work remotely, we are given tasks and are able to complete them effectively by using FIVE main tools.

Here is a breakdown of the tools we use and how they help us:

1)     Asana – Asana is literally our go to! We work to deadlines and this is where we can you stay on track with tasks, keep projects organised, and discuss project progress. We are also able to track individual tasks, integrate with other tools, and achieve successful launches. Asana can be used via their app or desktop site too which gives us excellent flexibility to access it all devices.

2)     Slack - Slack is our messaging app for business which helps us connect to our clients and wider team members in individual chats or channel group chats.

3)     Zoom – Zoom helps us to meet our clients and work collaboratively with teams. We often use Zoom, Google Meet and MS Teams but our personal preference is Zoom because of how easy and versatile it is to use. The user experience overall in managing meetings, scheduling meetings, assigning participant roles, breakout rooms, chat and collaboration is great! Closely following is Google Meet; this is another firm favourite of ours.

4)     Microsoft Office - Not only a classic way to store and share work with your team, but did you know that Microsoft Office also have new apps such as Bookings that help make running your business that much easier? We use Bookings to allow clients to schedule calls with us and it is fully integrated in our calendar. So easy and huge amount of added value!

5)     Loom - We use Loom to screen records on a regular basis especially if we are creating training videos, presentations or team updates. Loom allows us to record our screen whilst keeping their face in shot too!

You have to love the internet, working remotely doesn’t get any better than this, whether we are working from the comfort of our home, a coffee shop or even local shopping centre, the work can always get done effectively with all our key tools!
